The digital camera I use to take still images of my drawings (which I then trace and color with my paint programs) isn't working right now. When I turn it on it gives me a black screen and a 'remove lens cap' message, even though the cap is off. I don't now what caused this. It was working perfectly on Friday. I left it alone all weekend. Now it's doing this.

Somehow, it makes sense that this would happen at the start of spring break.

I'm not popular. There's a good chance that I'll never be popular. While that does get me down at times, I've learned to live with it. There are people who are fond of my work, and I appreciate that. It's not like I'm the only underrated artist on Deviantart. I'm hardly even the best one.

I don't know how to elaborate on this much. It's near impossible to hold on to the signal. It goes out at the most inconvenient times. I can spend twenty minutes trying to get the signal back, only for it to go out again after twenty seconds. Pages often don't load fully. This is especially annoying when I'm trying to watch something on Youtube or Gametrailers. Dial up was slow as hell, but at least it was consistent.

So someone decided the fake SSBB Newcomer image I made for Lucas was in copyright violation and had it removed. I can see their point. I just wonder why after the other three I already made, why is this the one that got me in trouble? They didn't even make notice of Ike Diddy or the Trainer. Why would people act like including Vader or Yoda as cameo characters be what kills the series? If you're going to complain that they don't fit in with the continuity or environment, then you're forgetting one of the reasons for "cameo characters." They're not supposed to make sense. I'm working on an animation project at the moment and need someone to provide same voice work. There will be very few lines. So hopefully it won't take too much of your time. Anyone reading this who has voice acted in anything before and would be willing to do this as a favor for me, contact me to let me know. I'll provide more details to the project later when I'm done fine tuning the writing and whatnot.

EDIT: I'll be a bit more specific. It's a somewhat typical action western. The two voices I'm looking for are a low tone, raspy Eastwood like hero and a deep voice for a giant, brute of a bad guy.

No Sacred Cows Allowed: As I've said before, there's been a name change. Aside form the odd way of spelling "fun of" the old title was unoriginal and even a little cheesy. The new one has the same ideal of satirically mocking any subject, but expresses it in a slightly more interesting way. Other possible names I had thought of included What's Wrong With My Mind, I'm Doing This Wrong, How the World Works and See What Sticks.

Yep,  I'm doing commissions now. I'm only going to do ten at a time for now. I doubt they'll fill fast.

I've recently been getting questions about what I charge for comic commissions. When I started offering this service, I stated I wasn't going to do any multiple panel comic pages for fear that wouldn't have enough spare time to complete them quickly enough. I may have underestimated your patience with me. While I haven't decided to start accepting comic commissions yet, if I do I'd charge the same amount I would for a single image commission with additional charges per panel you would want.

I recently watched Knowing on DVD (Nicholas Cage uses an old note full of numbers to predict all the horrible disasters in all the world's history) and it provides a perfect example of what I will from now on call a "fart ending." Imagine someone reading a child a bedtime story and when he came to the ending instead of reading the last page, he just tosses the book aside, turns around and farts right in the kid's face. That's what the end of this movie is like. The writers couldn't think of a good way to conclude their story, so they had everyone fart directly into the camera and called it a wrap.

Plumbers Don't Wear Ties

It's a game most of you are only interested in because of Hansom Tom or the Angry Nerd. I knew about the game for a while, but it was only after watching those videos that I became curious enough to look up it up and see the parts of the game that weren't covered.

I searched on Youtube and found that someone pretty much remade the whole game by posting individual videos for each chapter and using link boxes to them when the chapter select screen comes up, as well as adding Final Jeopardy music. I saw Watchmen on DVD a few days ago and had a mixed opinion about it. Most of what I liked or didn't like about it is pretty much the same as what almost everyone else has said about it (Rorschach's awesome. Silk Specter sucks. A few too many scenes were cut. The way they recreated many of the visual elements of the book was amazing. Blah blah blah) but there's one thing that bugged me that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere else. I think I've been gone long enough that I own an explanation. Simply put, my computer broke down last Monday. It's been in the shop for over a week now for diagnostics and waiting for parts to arrive. I didn't say anything about this earlier because I thought the repairs would be quicker and I'd explain once I was posting again. Hopefully I'll get it back some time this week.

Chun-Li: Not much of a surprise. She's as important to Capcom as Ryu.

Captain America: Another obvious choice to return.

Doctor Doom: Again, kind of an important character to keep in the series. Can't think of anything else to say about them.

Felicia: Considering how low tier and underused she was last time, it is a little surprising that they would bring her back let alone put her in the current tease roster. Not that it's a problem.

Almost two years ago I posted a journal entry asking anyone who was willing to provide the voice work for an animated project I was working on. Unfortunately, I was only able to make an animatic before putting thing aside and never getting back to it. It was always a conflict of time and resources. When I had the time to work on it, I didn't have access to the materials to do any animating. When I did have what I needed to animate, I was too busy with other things. Every time I thought I could get to work on it, life would slap me and say, "No! You're not allowed to not suck!" It was a vicious cycle.

Point and click adventures are among the few gaming genres where the ratio of good to bad licensed games have weighed closer to the positive. This is likely one of the reasons Telltale's been raking in the licenses lately (another being the general quality of their products).

Everyone has their different pop culture Halloween traditions. The Homestar Runner Halloween Episodes have been an important one for me for as long as they were still going on. For some reason The Brothers Chapp haven't been keeping the new content coming in lately (Spending more time with their families?) and as such the last two years have been without the gang and their costumes.
